I feel a bit desensitized to things. Well at least I did. As if I didn't care about anything anymore...became overly cynical...Well I made a pact with myself last night and we'll see if I can somehow...how to say...maintain myself.
Here in my bedroom I can see over the rooftops of the houses behind ours...There are really tall trees, but sitting in this chair, looking out of my bedroom window there is a break in the trees, and I see an infinite blue sky, stretching onwards into an undefinable horizon, and to me, right now, it represents possibilities. It instills hope within me that maybe, just maybe, certain things I am pursuing will allow me regain true belief in my aspirations. I do trust in them now, having told myself that last night, but it's almost an uneasy compromise, as if I want to believe in something I know isn't true. Given time... Well, it's all a phase anyhow. |
