They're called laptops when nobody puts them on their laps cos it'd fry their skin. Word.

last I knew they won't fry your skin, but laptops may crash if you put em on lap... or make you lose your balls

If a laptop's been on for a while, the underside is so hot it could just give you some burns.

And I bet all that radiation would turn you into a three-legged mutant freak or something. :>

Re: *worships 23* | ||

Doesn't radiate as much as you'd think they are all shielded. Unlike a tesla coil speaker!

I never thought laptops could be that dangerous, especially if you're a guy.

I do not think they are very dangerous.

I thought they were talking about cell-phone-in-your-pocket radiation. Which, honestly, doesn't sound plausable.

Re: *worships 23* | ||

Oh are they? There was some article I think in the New England Journal of Medicine that debunked cells phones causing cancer, but I cannot be sure I am remembering the reference properly.
*does a quick Medline search* Cellular telephones and risk for brain tumors: a population-based, incident case-control study. Neurology. 2006 Mar 14;66(5):781. I was wrong, it was in Neurology. And actually there are a lot of articles out there. I should read that article since I have the journal. |

Hmmm, that is interesting. So is the fact that men's testicles are smaller now than they were 50-75 years ago.

Well, I don't know if it is good or bad, but probably it accounts for some overall decrease in fertility.

Re: *worships 23* | ||

Well I suppose there is too many people in this world anyways, less fertility can't hurt too much.. If we were all fertile and had many many babies we'd need a war or the ability and drive to colonize moon/mars and other planets soon or else we'd be fucked!

I totally agree. And I am talking about American testicles. I wonder what size the testicles are in India and China where there are so many people and if they have shrunk somewhat too. *ponders*

Re: *worships 23* | ||

No actually I belive it's just that they have nothing better to do over there than have babies - also, in India there dies about as many people in traffic accidents a day as there does in the USA in like a month (obviously an extreme comparison, excuse me)! I swear to god those people drive like nuts. It's quite interesting how they manage to keep any population at all that way.
