Convo :: Conversation. Loosely, any thread, but generally means the current topic of a thread. These shift and change at will, so Be Prepared! *boy scout salute*
Frenzy :: Frenzy is a post fast forum. The topics are fluid and they change quickly. You can come back a day later and your topic has evolved to something else entirely. Sometimes you come back and the title of the thread is changed (good luck finding it then, lol). But that is ok like liquid, you go with the flow, or you try to contain it and reply to get it back on the topic you want to. Frenziers are unique. Nothing stops a post from them. They post so much that they do Page Captures if no one is around!
Page Capture :: A Page Capture is when you go through the entire page of posts and you reply to each one, so that your name is at the bottom of every single post, you have Captured the page. Why do it? Because it is soooo satisfying to see your name at the end of every post!! lmao. But Frenzy is the only forum where this is acceptable. (Actually it is acceptable in Gates too).
Page Capture courtesy :: um none really. Three word minimum. Try to make at least a slightly quality reply. um spam or just posting a smilie is not a good page capture and you will get known as a spammer. Sometimes working from the bottom up is best, but it really doesnt matter.
Post Flood Safety Check or PFSC (Spamblock) :: The post flood safety check (usually called spamblock) is kinda the same & different from SDS. Its a way to prevent spam, however, can be turned off or on from board to board & within different forums. As you can see Frenzy has it turned off, while the rest of the board has it on. If it's enabled, you can only post once in a minute. (You'll get a message saying that the PFSC is on, & you'll have to wait one minute). Uma sez: spamblock is only off for dedicated Frenziers. Prove you want to be a Frenzier, and spamblock will be turned off for you. :P
SDS :: SDS or Spamming Detection System, as far as I'm (LiveTheMoment) concerned, was developed on February 14, 2002. It was designed to stop spamming. You only hit SDS if you press the reply button around 4-5 or more times in a minute & your account gets disabled for a length of time each time you hit it. First time it's 1 hour. Second it's 2 hours. Third it's 12 hours. Fourth it's 24 hours. Fifth time you get globally banned. After each month, your "record" gets slated off & start out new (except if you already hit it the 5th time in which will not be cleared).
1337 or "Leet" :: 1337 talk is simply more or less like 'Hacker Language'. Other peeps here can prolly explain this more, but its simply using mostly numbers, symbols, & other letters instead of the normal ones. Uma sez: For the 1337 impaired: 1337 = elite. get it?
Twenty-three (also known as 23) :: We bow to the almighty 23. Well, it is just an uber cool number, like the best number ever. And there are a bunch of reasons why this is so. Here is a link if you want to read about 23. (the thread i am referring you to is locked at 23 posts of course. :P) pub94.ezboard.com/fthegat...D=30.topic
Wicked Tribe :: This is from a book by Tad Williams and Wicked Tribe were a bunch of kids in a virtual world whose sims were tiny yellow monkeys who flew around and were very very energetic and basically had their own language and it was hard for people to know what the heck they were talking about sometimes. (see 23, l337, page capture, etc)
We Drink Ritalin :: um not really, lol. This was a Flash, and we post so fast sometimes, that it just seemed very appropriate.
Edit Warz :: When we can get together at least 3 people we can have Edit Wars and basically spend a lot of time making edits on other peoples posts or the titles of threads. The only titles that are not to be messed with or edited are: The Proof that 23 is EVIL (goal is 2323 posts, then it is locked); The Sort-of Big Chat; and Where is Zeddicuus. The Edit War thread has been made specifically for this purpose (as you may have guessed).
pwned :: This is a typo of "owned" and has become popular to use. It means ownage or pwnage, something rocks. You can also say "I pwn you" or "I pwn j00" meaning you are one up on the person. Other typos have become popular like "TEH" for the and "Liek" for like and "Craxy" for crazy. These are common and now have become words we use.
Edit: (9/1) : Updated pwned.
