My family dr is a nice woman, she had some girl in training too (she studies med school and all) who talked to me for a lil while too, lol, it was kinda cool. My dr said that it's up to me whether to continue with the birth control pills but she said 'we usually advice to take them for 3 months to see how your body settles and all so my advice would be to continue taking them the last month too but it's up to you' she also said that maybe the depression and all coming with PMS wouldn't really get any better. And then I was talking about that asperger syndrom thing and she said she'd write a letter to refer me to any mental health clinic where ever in The Netherlands, she said I could call 'em and register and then I could go take the letter or maybe she'd have to mail the letter to the clinic, she told me to let her know if that's what they said but she said I could just register and she warned me there'd prolly be a long waiting list but that I'd get help and all.
So I called the mental health center in Maastricht. This lady said flat out I couldn't register, my family dr should do that for me. She also didn't even know of a mental health clinic in Venlo like 20 miles from Maastricht. So now I have to call my family dr's practise which is closed now but will open in like 30 mins again. I don't have much money and calling all those ppl with my cellphone kinda costs a bit (please note: the # for the mental health clinic and all isn't toll free). And then I get an intake session like within 2 weeks after my family dr refered me and the referal got accepted and all (so that seems to be a question too whether it's 'important' enough for them) and then I have to wait for a few months til I possibly get a therapy thing or whatever they have to offer.
I begin to think it'd be easier to go to the ER with an axe in my hand starting some story like 'the voices tell me to...'. I thought mental health care was easily accesible for each and everyone, now in The Netherlands, that's an illusion. It prolly is everywhere tho, heh.
