This has to stop now. I *will* hear from her, I *will* talk to her. I feel that if I had the power, I'd turn the very Earth upside down to do so. I haven't felt this focused goal since...ever, I think. It's so attuned, like a finely edged blade, or deathly scythe, and I need closure, and I can't just forget it and move on regardless of what anyone said. I need to hear it from her. I'm not looking to take her back, I just need to hear it from her. I need it to stop. I don't care if it's selfish, or self-destructive, or creepy/stalkerish. It needs to end. I can't move on otherwise.

You are just focused on her Ethan because you do not have a RL person to focus on. And the intensity of online emotions can be whatever you want them to be and may possibly have nothing to do with the reality. This closure is also a selfish thing. If she does not want to talk to you then leave her alone. You have closure. It's just not the closure that you wanted.

No offense intended.While I can understand what Wakka is saying about being confident and that women prefer men like that, I also feel that acting like something you are not will put women off. If you are not naturally confident then don't pretend to be... but if you can be more confident go for it. As for Liz - stay away! She is an ex for a reason and if you speak to her then it will bring back all the issues from the past. |

to the Liz thing: you may all be proud to know that I've come to grips with it and finally accepted the truth of it all and let this one go. It's done, I want to move forward. I see all the good qualities in me, and I'm not going to be something I can't be. I'm not Wakka, I'm Ethan. If women can't accept that, then maybe it's their loss, or maybe it wasn't meant to be, but I'm not going to force the issue anymore.
As for being single, I still ache to have an actual dating experience. I've gone back to match.com before uma and I cancel it, and sent out some emails and winks and what not. I've also checked out other places that might have better results. There was one that--admittedly was more of an 'adult'/'intimate' dating site--had better results, but without the cash to open an account I couldn't contact them as much as I had wanted to. here's hoping a miracle happens. I am what I am. I can only get better by being better at what I do and not by being someone else. |

I do applaud this attitude. I agree you are not Wakka and I don't think Wakka was justified in trying to make you become more like what he thinks he is (I won't say he is that exactly since he was not forthcoming with the details). I think you are fine the way that you are. You have many very good qualities, you just need the right girl is all. And there is one out there for you.

It really depends on where I end up on. Some places are considerably more, others are less, and some actually ask you to buy credits and you use said credits to do stuff
 With that said, I've gone and left hints and trails seeing if anyone will bite. If anything promising happens I'll let you all know

 I mean, I don't know which one is authentic, which one will go anywhere, which one is worth the few bits of cash i can gather. As of right now they've tried to get in touch with me but I can't know them or get in touch with them without paying
