Well my gf is supposed to arrive here at Valentine's Day. But now I see all those things about a bad blizzard at the East Coast and how flights get canceled and what not and I'm just in general nervous and now I'm nervous that she might not be able to make it. And I just dunno what to do.

Blizzard? Well it did snow an awful lot. But they cannot keep people from flying for very long. Basically they just clear the runway and off the planes go. I bet there are planes flying out of Dulles and Baltimore airports as we speak. She is not far from here, right? So she should be able to take off just fine. I will think good thoughts that she is on time!! Nothing like bad weather to make a nervous person really nervous! Be cool, it will be fine. ^^ *hugs*

Awww thanks, Uma. As far as I can see only the flights to Philly and Charlotte are delayed and she leaves tomorrow anyway so perhaps then it's all cleared and all. I'm just worrying, as usual.
 I'll have to get up kinda awfully early to be at the airport not long after she arrives but I'll live, lol. Gonna go to bed a bit earlier tonight and tomorrow I'll be in my bed even earlier.  If her flight does get delay tho I don't need to get up that early anymore, lmao.  I'll create a proper bye bye thread later on as I'll be MIA quite a bit when she's over here.  Marte

Wow, I still can't believe it's almost time for her visit. This will be great! I hope you guys get along but I bet you will just fine. Once I went to England and my friend was supposed to meet me at the airport. I got off the plane and couldn't find him and I waited for a while. But then I had them announce over the loudspeaker for him and he had been waiting at the wrong place. Of course maybe she has a cell phone, but I didn't have one then, that would have been better. Anyhow, I hope you don't miss each other. Oh, but don't worry about that, i am sure you will not!!! *doesn't mean to make things worse* And I hope the weather there will be great.

You just put the finger on our biggest fear, Uma, congrats.
She doesn't have a cellphone, that indeed is a bit of a problem  but I have one and she can try to call me from a payphone when things really get outta hand. Anyway Schiphol Airport isn't too hard to get around, centrally located is the train station where I'll arrive. She can always go there. I just hope all will go well. *crosses fingers*Marte

Aww thanks. All the stress caused another argument last night, I wonder why we always argue like ahead of events like this.
