I thought it would eventually because basically it was just dying so now it has been announced. They are moving to a new platform called Yuku. You can read about this in the announcements forum, but it is a fact and it's happening. I have included a bit of the blurb below in italics.
I want to have a discussion about where we can go. We will go somewhere I promise. I am not really interested in Yuku though. Nor am I interested in ikonboards or proboards or even a vb. I don't have Lun anymore and I don't want to host it on sublunary.com because basically I don't know how to do it and don't want to mess with it.
What I do have access to is a place called Gaia. And I can get us a guild there with a forum that we can use for ourselves, or we can invite in other people. I have been thinking about this for a while.

I prefer to go to Gaia because it's free and all we really need is a place to contact each other if we want to. A separate board is difficult.
Well, think about it, visit Gaia and Yuku and maybe offer some suggestions, but we have to make up our minds fairly quickly. If I were to go to Yuku apparently I have to do so while there is still 6 months left of gold. Why I don't know. Strange. So...ok, let's talk about it.
Regarding Yuku and ezboard. We are busting our butts to get Yuku to a level where you will be excited to be there. Ceco and his team are working to make Yuku faster and we are developing new features every week. Personally, I think we are a month or so away from the time that you will look at Yuku and say wow, I need to be there, but dont let that stop you from wandering over there and giving it a try. I would love to have feedback from every ezboard user on what we can do to make Yuku into exactly what you want.
What about ezboard? Well, to be honest most of the team here is focused on Yuku. We are still maintaining ezboard and will do so for the forseeable future. There was some confusion I read online about our shutting down ezboard at the end of 2006″. Yes, it is true that ezboard, Inc. will be shutting down ezboard.com. BUT, not until all of you have moved to Yuku. When is that? Youll tell us by moving to Yuku. We are not going to turn off ezboard.com at the end of 2006. We will turn off ezboard.com when everyone has moved to Yuku.
The reason we built Yuku was to give you a new and better place for your message boards. Our job is to make Yuku the place you want to be. We think we are getting there, but we also realize there is more work to do. Your ideas are what made ezboard what it is today and they will make Yuku what it is in the future.
