Yuku free message boards

It's funny really... Ezboard takes a big leap and brings together cool things, its like ezboard crossed with myspace or something, maybe thats not for everyone (hell i use myspace) but they wont force you to use both, the option is there. do we rejoice, or even say 'nice try'? nah... People hate it with a passion. Anyone remember big bad ezboard 7.0 coming out? Everyone was all the sudden going to stop using ezboard and send Vanchau nasty letters... Why? Yeah I complained... probably even to ezb staff... but why? we seem to all still be alive, 7.0 didnt kill us i doubt this will.. not that im wanting to say to anyone "you should do it because ______ whatever", strictly your decision to make. I'm just really tired from no sleep and wondering why the fire and brimstone on anything ezboard tries to improve.. apologies for the rant-ish thing but hey i made the topic *cartman* i do what i want!! lol...

so yea if anyone wants to add me or whatever you do on there (still tryin to figure it out) i'm the same name as here.

hey thats coolness. wherever the gates rest i will show up (at least sporadically right? lol) i was just curious why everyone always hates what ezb does

understandable. it just seems like they're making a good effort on this one at least.. i mean it has bugs but if they actually work on em.. i dunno

well my thought on it was the potential to excel because the feature that myspace was very lacking in was their 'message board' related services... completely sucks, imo. i do agree with you though that they are throwing away lots of good history, and i think that at the very least they should offer some sort of retro skin for the thing (they seem to be able to do what they want, IF they want) so the boards' interface and controls are the same as the old ones. as much as i used to complain about ezboard back in the day, i liked it better than any other message board system, always.

i just thought that if ezboard could maintain their emphasis on boards and offer things on a more individual basis too (like comments, pictures, buddy lists) that it would be so much more successful, if not for everyone then for them at least bc it would attract a whole different crowd of people who wanted to keep in touch and all, and throw them into the message board world at the same time just by it being at their fingertips

was i arguing for a point that doesnt exist though? i was under the impression that they were still going to be mostly boards but also incorporate the other things as well... i figured it was just a way to branch out under their sort of new leadership.. dont get me wrong i think what they *should* have done is add it to ezboard over time instead of show up with something completely different, and create this upheaval thats going on...

and i thought mio was one of the main ones that hated 7.0... well there were alot maybe im just dumb haha. i do remember pom though that was a kickass board. it was like complete spam, but it made sense at the same time and was very conversational

can see where that would piss you off. i never really messed with mine, i cant code worth a shyt.

Maybe SS should consider a vB or other sort of board as well? Surely someone there has a site it can be hosted at.

I actually made a board on Yuku to expirament with it... seems to be similar to ez but as an administrator, so far at least, I don't have half of the options that I would have on here. The navigation is a bit tricky with the profiles and the community options. Takes some getting used to.
